What's the deal with married couples with kids who call *each other* Mom and Dad, or worse "Mommy" and "Daddy". Is it just me, or does this creep you out too?

No, whatever works for you, I can understand how old habits are hard to break. But to me there is a difference between telling your kid to "go ask Daddy" what he thinks, etc and adults who are say, in bed, or out in public sans kids/pets who still are referring to each other as "Mommy" and/or "Daddy".

(I get you with the pets thing, there's been plenty of times I've told the dog to "go get Daddy". yeah)

I get kinda creeped out when people call me Cecil's (our cat's) mommy. I am not her parent! I do not have a "furbaby"! I have a pet cat!

Besides, if anything, she's definitely more like a curmudgeonly roommate than a child.

i HATE the term "furbaby". it totally grosses me out. do people who say that class their children "skinbabies"? vile.
